The Well-being and Resilience Toolkit supports you in bringing creative, engaging mental health activities into your youth work practice. This resource includes a 12-hour CPD training and 18 hands-on activities that use art, music, and creativity to promote emotional awareness, resilience, and well-being among young people.
The CPD training is organised into six modules, each providing practical strategies for delivering well-being sessions with confidence. These modules also offer theoretical knowledge on youth mental health, trauma-informed care, and ethical youth work.
The accompanying handbook provides 18 active learning activities grounded in creative, musical, and artistic approaches. Designed to help young people feel better in the moment and build long-term coping skills, the activities focus on emotional regulation, mindfulness, communication, resilience, self-worth, and peer support.
We invite you to enroll by clicking on the text "Enroll me in this course" - available in the blue bar at the top of the screen.

This section includes your Active Learning Activities Handbook, designed to help you bring creativity, music, and art into your youth work practice. Each activity supports young people’s emotional well-being, social connection, and resilience.
Here’s how to use it:
- Explore 6 core topics: emotional regulation, mindfulness, communication, coping skills, self-esteem, and peer support.
- For each topic, you’ll find 3 activities—1 creative, 1 musical, and 1 artistic—designed for flexible use in group or one-on-one settings.
- Activities include step-by-step instructions, materials lists, and reflection prompts to help you guide young people through meaningful experiences.
These activities are made to be adapted to your setting. Use them to spark reflection, build skills, and strengthen young people’s ability to care for their mental health—one creative step at a time.
