Being SDG-competent means having the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to contribute to all areas of sustainable development: social, economic, and environmental. Depending on their current understanding of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), individuals may choose to explore self-paced online modules to deepen their knowledge, or they may require support from educators or trainers to guide their learning journey.
This SDG Training Programme is designed for individuals seeking to learn at their own pace, as well as for trainers or educators looking to deliver course activities online, face-to-face, synchronously, or asynchronously.
Course aim and objectives
The scope of this course is to provide youth with knowledge and practical guidance to develop key competences related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and empower you to apply them in everyday life, professional settings, and community initiatives. It is intended to give you a full understanding of the following topics:
Module 1 – Introduction to the 17 SDGs, and the role of youth advocacy in delivering on the goals.
Modules 2 to 18, which address each of the SDGs:- Goal 1. No Poverty
- Goal 2. Zero Hunger
- Goal 3. Good Health and Well-being
- Goal 4. Quality Education
- Goal 5. Gender Equality
- Goal 6. Clean Water and Sanitation
- Goal 7. Affordable and Clean Energy
- Goal 8. Decent Work and Economic Growth
- Goal 9. Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure
- Goal 10. Reduced Inequalities
- Goal 11. Sustainable Cities and Communities
- Goal 12. Responsible Consumption and Production
- Goal 13. Climate Action
- Goal 14. Life Below Water
- Goal 15. Life on Land
- Goal 16. Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions
- Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals
This online course comprises an introduction followed by 17 innovative and flexible modules that can be taught individually or combined into a comprehensive program delivered by organizations working in youth or adult education. Each Module contains an e-book, presentation and evaluation quizzes.
To obtain the certificate of completion of the "SDG" course, we invite you to go through the modules and answer the questions in the test. Scoring more than 50% on the multiple-choice questions will allow you to download your certificate of completion.
